History
Château Gros Moulin is a family vineyard owned by the Eymas family since 1757 !!! It was then that the name "Gros Moulin" (Big Mill) makes sense. Indeed, in these days and till late nineteenth century, the estate was a mixed farming. The mill, located in front of the family house, was used to grind wheat. The transformation of the mill into a tower (as you can see on the first page) took place with the seventh generation of the family, Georges Benaud, great grandfather of the present owner.
In 2010, after graduating from ESA (High school of Agriculture) and from MSc International Vintage in Angers, the eleventh generation of the family, Rémy EYMAS, came back to succeed his father. Eleven generation in direct line demonstrate the fidelity, the passion and the love for vine and wine justifying the device "...per vitem, ad vitam" (... by vine, for life).

This tower represent nowadays the emblem of the winery.
Growing over time from 1 hectare in 1757 to 15 hectares in 1977, Château Gros Moulin's vineyard stretch over 30 hectares nowadays, including the Château Croûte-Mallard. The different parcels attached to the estate were selected meticulously by Pierre-Max and Jacques EYMAS in order to bring to the wine all the complexity of region's terroir.
